Today, many people are lactose intolerant when it comes to consuming cows milk, and this occurs because there is either a deficiency or absence of the enzyme Lactase in the intestinal tract. People without this enzyme struggle to break down the milk sugars that are called Lactose in milk to simple sugar, allowing the body to absorb them. Diarrhea, cramps, gas and feeling bloated are all symptoms of Lactose intolerance. These symptoms are common amongst sufferers of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and also those who have an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), including both Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.



Cows milk can result in causing eczema in children and can contribute to cardiovascular disease. The range of milks today caters for a wide range of tastes and needs and includes full cream, and a whole range of light and fat free milk. This is offering great choice of products to suit there particular needs of individual consumers. Milk may still be a concern regardless of which product you end up consuming.




Milk has high levels of saturated fats and also a high level of cholesterol, and evidence supports that countries with a high consumption of milk products also has high incidents of cardiovascular disease, and kidney and blood diseases. Milk causes a build up of mucus on the colon wall that can create toxins and allow proteins to build up and not digest.
